Back to top, "Catalog Models" selections
Charger models of type indicated in the heading above are listed in the table below with either a "Float-Charge" or "3-Step-Charge" algorithm by model selection (see Notes 1, 2, and 3 under the table), with universal input, and with IEC 320 input connector , and with 2-conductor power output cable with a connector on its end to connect to a customer-furnished mating connector leading to battery system (or with other terminations such as alligator clips, etc.; note that an in-line fuse  is needed in the (+) output lead wire somewhere between the charger and the battery system).   An optional  2-conductor cable can be provided with a connector on its end to connect to a customer-furnished mating connector leading to a thermistor to sense the battery system temperature.

Knowing your battery's (1) "number of cells and AH rating", (2) whether you want 3-stage charge or float charge, and (3) whether you want 2.45 v/cell or 2.4v/cell for "bulk and absorption phases" of 3-stage charge, then look in the table below to determine if this group of chargers have charge current ratings suited to the recharge time required for your application.

Notes:
1)  Float charge models (also called single-mode) are for use when batteries are being used as standby in event of a power failure or when the charger is always connected to the battery during discharge.  Our standard for float charge voltage set point is 2.3v/cell.  Other set points can be offered if the 2.3v/cell is not suited to a customer's requirement.
2)  A 3-step charge algorithm consists of (1) bulk or fast charge phase, (2) absorption or taper charge phase, and (3) float or maintenance charge phase.  These 3-step charge models are for use when batteries are repeatedly being discharged and recharged; and these charger models will fully re-charge batteries more quickly without danger of overcharge.  The "bulk and absorption phases" have the same voltage set point for 3-step charger models.  We offer two different standard voltage set points for the "bulk and absorption phases", namely 2.4v/cell and 2.45v/cell as noted by separate line items in the above table for similar battery systems (ask the battery manufacturer which one is to be used).  The standard voltage set point for the float phase in the 3-step models is 2.3v/cell.
3)  The 3-step chargers are not typically connected to the battery during discharge to a connected  load.  Contact technical support for information on modifications that can be made so that 3-step chargers can be safely used to "fast charge" the battery during discharge to a connected load.
4)  Click on Accessory Items for Lead Acid Battery Chargers to go to a separate page on this web site for some accessories that can be purchased to use with the Lead Acid battery chargers.

Back to top, "Catalog Models" selections
Charger models of open-frame type indicated in the heading above are listed in the table below with either a "Float-Charge" or "3-Step-Charge" algorithm by model selection (see Notes 1, 2, and 3 under the table), with universal input, and with three (3) 0.11" Fastons for input wire connections to the charger unit, and with two (2) 0.11" Fastons for output wire connections to the battery system (note that an in-line fuse  needs to be customer-installed in the (+) output lead wire somewhere between the charger and the battery system).   An optional  connection to sense battery system temperature can be made using two (2) 0.11" Fastons on the charger unit for connecting two (2) wires to connect to a diode (sensor) located next to the batteries to sense the battery system temperature.
Size:  6.20" long x 2.96" wide x 1.94" high.  Weight:   1.0 lbs. (approx.)

Charger models of type indicated in the heading above are listed in the table below with either a "Float-Charge" or "3-Step-Charge" algorithm by model selection (see Notes 1, 2, and 3 under the table), with universal input, and with IEC 320 input connector, with Anderson Power Pole output connector on charger unit for connection of the customer furnished output power cable to connect to the battery system (note that an in-line fuse  is needed in the "plus" output lead wire somewhere between the charger and the battery system), and  with a separate DIN connector on charger unit for connection of a customer-furnished 2-wire cable to connect to a thermistor to sense the battery system temperature.

Back to top, "Catalog Models" selections
